The 2015 January transfer window is now officially closed. So were there any big surprises on deadline day?

Unfortunately it wasn’t the most frantic or frenzied final day of the transfer window but there were a few big deals, taking the total Premier League January transfer spending hit £130m.

The biggest deal on deadline day was World Cup winger Juan Cuadrado coming to Chelsea. The Colombian star from Fiorentina has signed a four and a half year contract at Chelsea for around £23m. Not only was this the biggest deal on transfer deadline day, but it was only beaten for biggest deal of the entire window by Manchester City paying £28m for Wilfriend Bony from Swansea.

This deal was done only an hour after Chelsea had confirmed that Andre Schurrle had completed his move from Chelsea to Wolfsburg for £22m.

Southampton bring in Midfielder Filip Djuricic on loan from Portuguese club Benfica, and also sign full-back Ryan Bertrand on a permanent deal for £10m. Bertrand is the fourth most expensive January signing.

Darren Fletcher signs a two and half year contract for West Brom on a free transfer after being at Man Utd for 15 years.
Centre back Robert Huth moves to Leicester City on loan from Stoke. Spurs sign MK Dons midfielder Dele Alli. Wilfried Zaha leaves Man Utd to return to Crystal Palace on a permanent basis for an undisclosed amount.

And the final highlight of deadline day is that Harry Kane signs a new five-and-a-half-year deal at Tottenham Hotspur.
