Since 1995 when the Bosman ruling came into effect, player transfer requests have slowly become more and more frequent. Because of this ruling, players can now leave for free once a contact is finished, therefore making clubs more inclined to sell a player and recoup some of the value.

After 6 years (and 8 managers), José Mário dos Santos Mourinho Félix returns to Chelsea, hopeful of guiding them to both domestic and European glory.
